Xiaomi TV Stick Launch Date
As Xiaomi is very consistent while launching new advanced gadgets. Now, The Xiaomi TV Stick, which appeared on foreign e-commerce platform platforms a few weeks ago, was confirmed by Xiaomi Germany and gave the first official picture. it is expected to launch in July-2020
From the poster’s point of view, the Xiaomi TV stick uses a U-disk design, skin-like matte and metal splicing shell, providing HDMI 2.0 male port and USB Type-C female port, the former is used for audio and video transmission, and the latter is used for power supply.
The matching remote control buttons are simple, similar to the current Xiaomi box and Xiaomi TV. However, since they are facing overseas markets, three exclusive buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix and Amazon Video have been added to directly guide the designated content platform.
The associated remote control also shows that the device not only has a D-Pad for easy navigation and buttons for the menu, back and home screen as well as the plus-minus buttons, but also special buttons for calling the apps directly from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
There is also a special button above the D-Pad that can be used to call up the Google Assistant. In this way, the stick can also be operated by voice using the microphone integrated in the remote control. No further details could be heard today. According to previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick will include a USB port and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
Other information is unclear. Earlier reports said that the Xiaomi TV stick is mainly plug-and-play, and the measurements are only 9.50 x 3.50 x 2.00 cm.
In terms of configuration, the CPU is Jingchen S905 Y2 processor (quad-core A53), matching Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, 2GB DDR4 RAM, 8GB ROM, and supports dual-band Wi-Fi.
It is reported that this TV stick is pre-installed with a TV operating system based on Android 9.0, which can output 4K HDR content, supports Dolby and DTS HD dual decoding, and the price is 79.99 US dollars.
