Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G was revealed for the first time in October last year that Samsung might soon launch 5G from the flagship Galaxy Tab S6. The company later quietly confirmed on its website that the 5G variant of the tablet computer would already be introduced in the near future. Samsung confirmed today that it will launch the Galaxy Tab S6 5G phone on January 30 – 2020. South Korea will be the first and only market it gets at present.

Galaxy Tab S6 5G is the world’s first 5G tablet

Galaxy Tab S6 5G is the first tablet in the fifth generation in the world. It’s almost identical to the Wi-Fi and LTE variant in specifications with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem being a clear exception. It retains the same 10.5-inch Super AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which are the only configuration available.

Other specs include the 13-megapixel, 5-megapixel dual rear camera setup and 8-megapixel front camera. The 7,040mAh battery provides plenty of energy to keep lighting. So this variant is the same tablet that was launched last year with 5G support being the only unique selling point.

We have concluded in our Galaxy Tab S6 evaluation that it is really the best Android tablet of its time. The 5G variant is taking a higher level since there is no other tablet on the market with next generation mobile support.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Tab S6 5G in South Korea on January 30. It will be available from the country’s three major airlines for 999,900 won, or about $ 850. Samsung has not stated whether it will launch the Galaxy Tab S6 5G in other markets such as the United States and across Europe where 5G networks live.
