Jazz Tested 5G Service Successfully In Pakistan
From the media reports, it has been confirmed that Jazz tested 5G service successfully in Pakistan and named as Jazz Super 5G. Now, Jazz has become 2nd telecom operator in Pakistan who successfully tested 5G. Initially, 5G service was tested by Zong which have largest Data network in Pakistan. However, Jazz is No. 1 operator of Pakistan based on subscribers count and have 50 million customers after a successful merger with Warid (A company own by Abu Dhabi Group).
Jazz has tweeted about 5G test on Saturday, 04 2020 in which stated that Jazz tested 5G service successfully. This is a great milestone achieved by VEON Group Company – Jazz.
Couple of months before, Zong Telecom tested 5G service in Pakistan but PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) regulates a notice to stop advertising until auction of 5G license starts.
The reason of immediate test of Jazz 5G service after Zong Telecom is, having same vendor (Zong and Jazz) for their Telecom Tower Management which is Huawei Technologies.
Jazz has showed up Ookla speed test on its official twitter account as well. According to Ookla speed test, Jazz 5G has 1,425 Mbps download and 68.04 Mbps speed for upload.
5G services are expected to launch till December 2020 in Pakistan but there is no official confirmation from any (Zong and Jazz) Telecom operator or PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority).
