Galaxy Buds Plus Coming With S20 Series and Galaxy Z Flip – Specification leaked
Samsung will organize an event next week, to introduce a lot of mobile devices: three Galaxy S20 smartphones series, the Galaxy Z Flip and the updated Galaxy Buds Plus. Today, Evan Blas posted a leaked spec sheet on Twitter, and revealed that the life of the new headphones will have a better battery life. The Galaxy Buds + app is already running in the iOS store, and some pre-orders for the Galaxy S20 phones will come with headphones in a package. The sale price will be $ 149.
The headphones and charging case will maintain their dimensions, although the buds weight is expected to increase + 10%, 6.3 grams per yolk. The energy cells inside will have more capacity, which will almost double the playing time with one load.
The current Galaxy Buds, support only one device connection and contains two microphones, one external and one internal, and they don’t really do a decent job to provide a clear communication experience. The Buds + appears to have two external microphone, and hopefully they allow proper conversations without sounding too echo and distorted.
The spec sheet also confirms that there will be no active noise cancellation: it should rely on the tight fit of the headphone to isolate the surrounding sound. Since there are no volume changes, we do not expect a significant improvement in the sound quality when playing music, although Galaxy Buds provided an excellent audio experience for its price, and the Galaxy Buds + might be at least good.
A comparison of the filtered specifications also reveals that the Galaxy Buds will have dedicated amplifier and amplifier controllers on each earphone, while the previous model had only one amplifier on each earphone. Samsung also added a second external audio microphone for a total of three. The quality of voice calls is one of the weaknesses of Galaxy Buds, so it seems that the company has re-engineered in the hope of resolving it.
Galaxy Buds and Buds Plus Comparison
Visually, the two sets of headphones look identical and share the same dimensions, although Buds Plus weighs just a little more. In addition to volume and tracking controls, the external touchpad can be used to instantly open Spotify on your phone. This is the latest example of the ongoing partnership between Samsung and the music streaming service.
The new model will cost 170 euros is Europe. However, we will have to wait for the official announcement next week to see availability details.
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Plus will enhance the company’s true-to-wireless wireless headphones on multiple fronts, according to the spec sheet that Evan Blas has set out. Battery life may be the most important, as Buds Plus lasts 11 hours on one charge (compared to six hours on the previous Galaxy Buds). In addition to the juice in the charging case, Samsung also states that this should almost double the battery life, with a runtime of only 6 to 11 hours with buds, and from 13 to 22 hours with a can and buds. Fast charging is also updated for only 3 minutes, saving 1 hour of game time. The biggest difference here comes from the battery which has increased from 58mAh to 85mAh, while the case jumps from 252mAh to 270mAh.
Finally, Galaxy Buds Plus can be paired simultaneously with multiple devices simultaneously, eliminating the limit for one device from the first Galaxy Buds.
It will be available in black, white, red and blue color.
